International Family Law Chambers

Marjory D Fields was admitted to the Bar of New York in 1971 and developed a practice as a specialist family law attorney. In 1986 she was appointed a Judge of the Family Court of New York and from 1999 to 2002 sat as an Acting Justice of the Supreme Court of New York. Following her retirement from the Bench in 2002 she joined the distinguished New York firm of Beldock, Levine & Hoffman as Special Counsel.

Justice Fields’ association with International Family Law Chambers began with her participation in the World Congress on Family Law and the Rights of Children and Youth held in England in September 2001, for which David Truex chaired the UK Host Committee. As well as her practice in New York, Justice Fields lectures and writes on family law, liaising with foreign lawyers, judges and government agencies.

In December 2003 Justice Fields agreed to accept appointment as Special Counsel to International Family Law Chambers. Based in New York, Justice Fields and her family law colleagues at Beldock, Levine & Hoffman assist IFLC lawyers with US cross-jurisdictional matters.
